Stafford's Room

I realized that I hadn't put up the pictures from Stafford's room after I finished it and of course when I was taking pictures last night of Reese's room, Stafford had to have his picture taken too. I am so happy with how it turned out and Stafford loves it too.
I bought the iron bed off craigslist for a deal and painted it and then it was on for a search for all the letters for the alphabet on his wall. Also, lots of trips to flea markets for great old toys. I really just love it and also my mom did the bedding for Stafford's room too.

Reese's Big Girl Room

We made the transtion from crib to big girl bed for Reese a couple weeks ago and she is doing great! We decided to do it before baby #3 arrives in a couple of weeks. We decided to put the babies bed in the room with her for now. We are hoping to sell our house so I was trying to do something simple, but at the sametime make it look like a finished room. Besides the baby will probably be in our room for the first 3 months anyway.
I just love the way it turned out. My mom did all the bedding and curtains and the antique twin bed was my Great Aunts. If you know me I love something old and expecially with a story. I love it as much as my Big Girl Reese does.

Swim Ranch

The kids completed their 2nd year of swim ranch this summer and did great. Ms. Kim was their teacher this year and she was great with all the kids. Stafford and Reese have improved so much from last year and are really swimming in the pool with their swim buoys around their waist. Ms. Kim has almost completely taken all the air out of Stafford's swim buoy.

So we have really been trying to practice all we can to get the kids really comfortable with the water. I can't wait till next year because Stafford gets to move up to Beginners lane. What a fun week and Daddy was even able to come and help all week with both of them, which the kids loved.

Almost forgot to mention that we were able to enjoy this week with our friend Cy, Caroline, and Cole. That always makes it fun to be able to swim with friends.

Reese's First Dance Class

We have started Reese in her first Dance class this summer. It is a 6 week program and I thought it would be a great opportunity to see if she would be interested in it or not. Well it looks like she loves it. So far, every week she is so excited to go and she listens so well and tries to do whatever the teacher ask of her. So now we will have to decide in the fall if we will do gymnastics or dance. She loved gymnastics so much too. By the way, how cute is she???

Mommy's Birthday

Well I turned the big 31 and had a little family celebration. I have soon realized that

Mommy and Daddy's birthday's aren't that big of a deal anymore, but I do make sure you have a birthday cake. This is a must and I did have my favorite!! However, I do enjoy having the little family celebrations, it is pretty sweet.

Kansas Trip '10

After we had a little vacation at the Great Wolf Lodge we detoured to Delphos, Kansas to see Chris's Gramps. We don't get to see them very often at all, in fact the last time we saw them was when Stafford was 1year old, so that means he has never met Reese. We had a great time and the kids warmed up to everyone very easily. They both loved taking rides with Gramps in his wheelchair, and on the square in Delphos they had a old playground that the kids loved to play at. Lastly, a big highlight for Stafford was right down the road were train tracks, so we walked the kids down to the trains and he was able to walk around and even climb up on some of the boxcars and hopper cars. I have learned so much about trains since Stafford is so obsessed with them. The best part too was one of the hopper cars was blue!! (His favorite color) This boy was in heaven. We all had a great day with Gramps.

Memorial Day Weekend

My view over the weekend.

We had a great trip up to Kansas City over Memorial Day weekend. We are trying to do all we can with the kids before the baby comes in July. The kids had been talking about the Great Wolf Lodge ever since we went last year, so we thought it was the perfect time to go. We were in the water all day long and the kids were wore out. Stafford is my little cautious child and it took a lot of coaxing by mommy and daddy to get him to go down the water slide, but once I got him down it was his favorite thing he did he told me. Reese on the other hand is our fearless one and not a lot of talking to get her to do something. All in all in was a great weekend and for dinner one night we took the kids to T-Rex. They both were a little unsure of all the dinosaurs, but we just had to keep reminding them they weren't real. Great family fun had.
