I found this picture while I was downloading my 250 pictures from the last few weeks. It just makes me smile. I hope to catch up in the next few days. I am really behind on my blogging.

piggies

Guess who is keeping their piggies painted every week? I can't get over how patient she is
to let me paint them, but she loves it. As most of you know she isn't the most patient child. I absolutely love it though.

Guess Who's 3!!

July 22, 2006

1st Birthday

2nd Birthday

This is what he woke up to this morning. He walked in the kitchen and said, "Wow, this is for my Birthday!".

Eating his lion pancake he requested this morning for breakfast.

I can hardly believe my little boy is 3 years old today. He has came so far for a little boy who most doctors said shouldn't be here. What a major blessing he has been to us and we can't forget who he shares this special day with. None other than his favorite buddy his Daddy!! So Happy Birthday to the best guys in my life!!

Father's Day

Just wanted to add the one picture of the kids on Father's Day. As you can tell from the picture, Reese was not to happy about it. I am so proud to have a husband that wants to spend so much time with his kids and help me so much and really be a father to them. I really don't know what I would do without him. Thank you.
Chris is holding the many projects the kids did for him on Fathers Day. Stafford was really proud of them.

Mini Vacation

We were trying to roar like the dinosaur.

A couple weeks ago we went to Kansas City for a wedding and went a day early so we could stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. If you don't know it has a indoor water park at the resort. It is really awesome for kids and ours really enjoyed it and I have to admit that Chris and I did also. We couldn't help ourselves but go down all the rides that the kids couldn't. We also went to the resturant T-Rex with the kids one night and they loved it, even though we had to drag them both into the resturant latched on to both of us because of the huge dinosaurs everywhere. Both of the kids warmed up pretty quickly and loved every minute of it. The funny thing was Stafford knew what type of dinosaur each one was because Chris reads him a dinosaur book at night sometimes, so he new that T-rex was a scary and mean dinosaur. We kept reminding him that these dinosaurs were just pretend and not real. So by the end of the night when we left he said, "Mom their just pretend, their not real". We will defintely go back with the kids.
I almost forgot about the carousel. The wedding we went to was outside and just a small walk from it was this carousel, so we took advantage of it and took the kids for a ride after the reception. What fun..

Guess Who turned 30!!

Well I turned the big 30. It isn't as bad as I thought, but 29 does have a better ring to it. We had a great night, all of my family surprised me at Herman's and then we went back to our house for my all time favorite cake my mom makes called "Strawberry Heaven", and believe me it is heaven. Just a great overall night with family.

Stafford's Doctor Report

Outside the doctors office, as you can tell he got lots of prizes while we were there.

Well I can't tell everyone how excited we are that Stafford had a great checkup in Dallas with his urologist. We never thought we would get to this point in his life so soon. Dr. Baker said she is totally amazed how well he is doing and knows we made the right decision to remove his left kidney last August. His right kidney is growing with him, his hydronephronsis is going down, his blood pressure is staying a great levels with the help of medicine, he has had no kidney infections, continues to grow with according to his age group, and we are potty trained. All the above are things they thought he would have diffculty with when he was born. (Don't forget the doctors first told us there was little if any hope when he was first diagnosed with this in utero). So in our doctors words, she is "psyched". She told us when we were leaving that she couldn't believe she was going to say this, but she didn't need to see us till next year. Just amazing because we have been seeing doctors since he was born every 3-6 months.
We are truly thankful for this little boy, he has been through so much in his short little life already. He is our little miracle and can only thank God.
